The paper is based off of this documentary. Policing the Police | Watch S2016 E12 | FRONTLINE | PBS | Official Site
You are responsible for writing a video reflection. Your written reflection must be a critical and thoughtful reflection on the documentary.
Your reflection paper must clearly demonstrate that you took time to fully consider how the documentary relates to course material and how the issues discussed in the documentary impacts the criminal justice system. You will write this paper in a typical APA essay format, including an introductory paragraph, body, and conclusion.
Your reflection paper will include the following sections:
Section I: Introduction (approximately 3-4 sentences)
Section II: Body of the Paper:
Description of three concepts we have discussed in class that you view in the video (approx. 1 page) and
Analytical Reflection (approx. 2 pages)
Section III: Conclusion (approx.. 3-4 sentences)
Section IV: References (Links to an external site.)(new page)
In addition, students must utilize at least three (3) scholarly sources to support their arguments (e.g., course readings, a government report, etc.); the video does not count as one of the three sources. With this in mind, a well-developed paper will be approximately 4-5 pages in length (excluding reference page). Include page numbers
Finally, as you are required to use scholarly sources to support your opinions, you must cite these outside sources in your papers. Remember, when you reference materials that are not your own opinions or thoughts, you MUST include a citation of the source – otherwise, it is plagiarism. For instance, if you include a statement or quote from an internet site, you must cite this webpage in the text AND on the references list.
